Philosophy
Merit Kitchens’ philosophy for manufacturing exceptional cabinetry is at every level in the organization, and each employee has a responsibility to add to Merit’s quality commitment.
As each cabinet makes its way through development, quality is controlled and assessed. Whether it’s starting fabrication or being wrapped to ship, every piece of cabinetry must meet strict guidelines in order to progress through the manufacturing process.
Materials
We begin with wood graded A1 by the Hardwood Plywood & Veneer Association – the highest standard possible. We select premium materials from carefully-screened suppliers. All of our panel and case material products meet CARB Phase II / TSCA Title VI standards.
Every batch of paint and stain is tested against a control sample to ensure colour consistency. Using only German-engineered and -manufactured hinges, slides, and drawer boxes, with all-metal moving parts ensures long-life reliability.
Equipment and Processes
Merit Kitchens cabinetry is manufactured in a state-of-the-art facility in Canada. Balancing the precision of European advanced technology with traditional craftsmanship is the key to creating beautiful and well-constructed cabinetry every day.
CNC machinery precision, dowel & glue case construction, and case-clamp technology ensure perfectly square, sturdy cases and nearly invisible glue lines. Our exacting standards are also evident in our smooth-sanded and finished solid wood dovetail drawer boxes. And, before each cabinet leaves the factory, it goes through extensive inspection to meet our superior kitchen cabinetry standards.

We go to great lengths to ensure your cabinetry meets our benchmark for quality before it leaves the factory, and once installed in your home we then conduct the most important quality check of all.
Merit Kitchens authorized dealers will ensure the installation meets our exacting standards. Should an install element not meet our stringent specifications, your dedicated team will make it right.
